What is surgery?

Facial implants are used to improve the appearance of the face, they help harmonize facial features. There are different implants available that can be used in jaw, chin, cheekbones, etc. 

The Procedure

This surgery is ambulatory and can be performed under local or general anesthesia. To perform this procedure on the cheekbones, an incision is made inside the upper lip or at the edge of the lower eyelid lashes and through it a pocket is opened, the implant is then inserted and closed with stitches. The procedure lasts approximately one hour.

Frequently Asked Questions

The surgery is ambulatory, leaving a bandage that will be removed 8 days after the procedure. 

This depends on the patient, in some cases bruises appear which will take approximately 10 days to fade. 

It is suggested to avoid the sun for one month, and after this time it is recommended to use sunscreen daily.
